My Story, My Collies, and Flint River Ranch

The Stillman Pack

One of the saddest days of my life was when my "little black shadow," Arthur died. He was my 12 year old Shetland Sheepdog. He died of cancer.

Within the last few years, I have become much more aware of the effect of nutrition on our health. When we were considering adding another puppy to our family, I wondered about nutrition and pet foods. I started researching on the Internet since I had recently acquired this new "toy." What I learned about pet foods alarmed me. I wondered if all the chemicals and by-products contained in the pet food we had fed our dogs for years had contributed to Arthur's cancer. I wanted to find a natural, holistic food made with human grade ingredients for my collies and our new puppy.

I decided to try Flint River Ranch after reading about it and researching other foods. I began feeding it to my collies, wondering what good changes I would see. I knew there would be subtle health benefits from this highly nutritious food, but I did not expect to see so obvious a change for the better as the one we saw in Annie. After about six weeks of feeding the food, we noticed something about our then 12 year old collie, Annie.

Annie's Story

(Update: Sadly, Annie died July 14, 1999 at the age of 14 years. Her last two years were so much healthier and more comfortable thanks to Flint River Ranch. We miss her greatly, but we know she is at peace. She died quietly in her sleep. Now for Annie's story.)

Annie loved to explore on our property. She was not as fast as she used to be but she still went out "hunting." One day she came back with some burrs in her coat. We brushed most of them out but one clump on her back had to be cut out. We had to cut so close to the skin that she looked like she had a bald spot there. We assumed that it would grow back shortly. It didn't. For over a year, she had her bald spot. Until Flint River Ranch! Within a few weeks, her bald spot was gone and she had the best coat she had ever had in her life. Her energy level increased and she was even doing stairs again! I can only conclude that Flint River Ranch provided her with nutrition that was missing from the food we purchased from our veterinarian.

I was convinced that Flint River Ranch was different and I wanted to share the "good news" with as many pet lovers as I could. Hence, I became a distributor for Flint River Ranch and a little bit of a crusader for natural, chemicalfree, human quality pet foods in general.

Of course, I hope that you will want to try Flint River Ranch for your pets. But if you don't, that's okay, too, as long as you make an informed decision to feed your pets the best nutrition that you can afford after researching and learning everything you can about the ingredients in that particular food. After all, our pets are dependent on us for their needs. Because we truly love them, we want the best for them!

Thanks for listening. I hope my story will give you "food for thought." To learn more about Flint River Ranch products or to link to other web sites with pet nutrition information, please visit my home page by clicking on the link below. Good health to you and yours!
